Role Overview
We're looking for a Group Treasury Director who will establish and lead the Group’s treasury function, be responsible for managing banking relationships, fundraising, cash flow optimization, and manage compliance across a multi-subsidiary business. This role will provide a consolidated view of the Group’s liquidity, cash usage, and value creation while implementing strong treasury policies, controls, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities

Treasury & Cash Management
- Oversee Group-wide cash flow management, ensuring accurate consolidation and visibility of liquidity across subsidiaries.
- Analyse cash allocation and usage, providing insights on value creation, cost of funds, and efficiency.
- Establish and manage intercompany funding and working capital optimization strategies.
- Rationalize cash flow impacts across business lines to improve decision-making and shareholder transparency.
- Banking & Fundraising
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key banking partners (local and international).
- Lead financing and fundraising initiatives to support the Group’s growth, working capital, and investment needs.
- Negotiate facilities, credit lines, and lending arrangements in alignment with Group strategy.
- Manage bank compliance requirements, including KYC, regulatory obligations, and credit covenants.
- Policy, Compliance & Controls
- Establish and enforce treasury policies, including petty cash, payment approvals, liquidity management, and risk controls.
- Ensure compliance with all banking, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
- Monitor exposure to financial risks (liquidity, FX, interest rate) and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Align treasury operations with broader group compliance and governance frameworks.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide consolidated reporting to senior management and shareholders on cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities.
- Deliver clear visibility into cash inflows, outflows, and allocation efficiency.
- Partner with Group Finance, Tax, and Business Units to ensure alignment of treasury strategy with business objectives.
- Act as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all treasury matters.
Role Requirements
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (ACT, CFA, CPA) preferred.
- 12–15+ years of progressive treasury experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a multi-entity group or diversified holding.
- Strong track record in managing banking relationships, fundraising, and credit facilities.
- Experience in designing and implementing treasury policies, controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Deep understanding of cash flow consolidation, working capital management, and intercompany funding.
- Knowledge of regional banking practices.
- Strong systems orientation with experience in treasury management systems and ERP platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
